I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
